Term One
3 February – 11 April 2026. Joinery takes the Saturday mornings. Ceramics, lettering, ferments, coffee and pricing run on weekday evenings. Dye is not offered in this term.
Calendar and money
Three terms, 2026
Term One, Term Two and Term Three cover the year. Between them the studio takes a fortnight for maintenance, glaze tests and a kiln rest. Fees below include materials. A seat is held with a deposit, never through a card form on this site.
Term windows
Term Two
4 May – 11 July 2026. Sourdough takes the Saturday mornings. Natural Dye and Indigo runs on Sundays. Binding starts. Joinery rests this term so the Saturday bench can bake.
Term Three
7 September – 14 November 2026. Joinery returns on Saturdays. Dye, binding, ferments and the rest of the evening list run again. After 14 November the room closes for the year.
The fortnight between
Two weeks sit between terms. We fire leftover tests, oil the bench, rest the vat, and service the kiln. Public courses do not run. Saturday look-arounds still happen if you telephone first.
Weekday evenings are 19:00–22:00 unless the course is shorter. Saturday mornings are 09:30–12:30. Sunday mornings are 10:00–13:00. Filter coffee is 19:30–22:00. Pricing is 19:00–21:00. Lettering is 19:00–21:30.
Days, terms and fees
Seats are six on every row. Times are Singapore time. If a course lists more than one term, each term is a separate enrolment with its own deposit.

Holding a seat
Write or visit, then send S$80 by bank transfer or PayNow to the studio. We reply with the account details by e-mail, never through a payment page on this site. Nothing is charged through this website. When the deposit clears, the seat is yours and the S$80 is deducted from the course fee.
The balance is due on the first session, before the demonstration starts. If the balance is not paid by the end of that session, the seat is released to the waiting list and the deposit is kept, because the materials were already weighed for six.
Name the course and the term on the transfer. If you are booking a private bench, name the group and the date window we confirmed. Receipts are sent by e-mail from [email protected].
Changing or cancelling
If you cancel more than 14 days before the first session, the deposit is returned in full by the same method you used. Inside 14 days the deposit is kept, because the bench has already been held against other names.
You may transfer the seat to the next term once, at no cost, if you write more than 14 days before the first session. A second transfer is treated as a cancellation of the deposit. You may give the seat to another person for the same course and term if you tell us before the first session; the deposit stays attached to that seat.
Missed single sessions can be made up at the open bench on the last Saturday of the term where the course allows it. Ceramics, joinery, bread, lettering and binding usually can. Dye and coffee usually cannot, because the vat and the beans are timed to those sessions. We will say which is which when you write.
Waiting lists
When a bench is full we keep a list in the order e-mails arrive. If a seat is released more than 14 days before the first session, we write to the first name. You have three days to send the deposit. After that we write to the next name.
Ceramics and joinery typically wait one term. Dye, bread, coffee, lettering, binding, ferments and pricing sometimes have a seat in the current term if you write in the first fortnight. We do not guess at numbers beyond that, and we do not sell a seventh stool.
A waiting-list place is free and does not need a deposit. If you no longer want the place, write so we can skip your name without waiting three days.
