Saturday afternoons 13:30–16:00 are open for a look at the bench. Telephone first if you need the ground-floor table for coffee or lettering.
Finding the door
From Bugis MRT (East West and Downtown lines), walk toward Kampong Glam along Victoria Street or North Bridge Road, then into Arab Street. Kandahar Street runs parallel. Number 12 is a shophouse. The studio is #02-03, eighteen steps up. If the street is busy on a Saturday, the door is still the same door; ring the bell marked Skillsupgradesg.
There is no studio parking. Public car parks around Bugis and Kampong Glam fill up at weekends. The seven-minute walk from the station is the reliable route, with shade for most of it.
What to put in the note
The course name, the term, and whether you have already seen the room. If the stairs are a problem, say so. If you cook and need the allergen list, say so. If you want a private bench, give a group size and three date windows. That is enough for us to answer with a seat, a waiting-list place, or a Saturday hour to visit.
Hours, and when the room is busy
Office hours on the rail are when we answer the telephone. Evenings from 19:00 the public courses are running, and we may let a call go to the next morning. Kiln firings are posted on the landing door. If you arrive during a firing, the landing will be warm; wait downstairs and telephone.
Sunday is by arrangement for dye in Term Two and Term Three, and for private benches. Monday the studio is closed.
