How the studio handles your details
This note applies from 2026 to the Skillsupgradesg website and to enquiries we receive by e-mail, telephone or at the door. It is written for the Personal Data Protection Act in Singapore. We keep as little as we need to reply and to run a booked seat.
Who we are
Skillsupgradesg is an independent studio at 12 Kandahar Street, #02-03, Kampong Glam, Singapore 198884. E-mail [email protected]. Telephone +65 6291 4738. We opened in 2026. This website is published by the studio.
What we collect
When you write to us, we see the name, e-mail, telephone number if you give one, the course and term you chose, and the message. If you visit, we may write the same details in the bench book so we can send deposit instructions.
The form on contact.php does not store a copy on this website and does not send mail from the server. If you want us to have the note, you still need to e-mail or telephone. We then hold that correspondence in the studio mailbox.
If you take a course, we keep the name, contact details, the course, the term, deposit and balance records, and any access or allergen note you asked us to remember. We do not collect identity card numbers, and we do not publish student lists.
Why we keep it
To reply to an enquiry. To hold a seat, take a deposit by transfer, and confirm dates. To tell you if a session moves because of a kiln fault or a building issue. To remember a ground-floor arrangement or an allergen you declared. Those are the reasons. We do not sell lists, and we do not use your details for advertising networks.
How long, and where
Enquiry e-mail is kept for 24 months, then deleted from the mailbox unless a booking followed. Booking and payment records are kept for 7 years, which is how long we need them for ordinary studio accounts. Allergen and access notes are deleted at the end of the term unless you ask us to keep them for a later course.
Mail is hosted with a provider in Singapore or, if a copy sits on a handset, on the device we use in the room. This website stores a short session token so the form can be checked, and a cookie preference if you accept or decline the bar. See cookies.
Who else sees it
The bench tutor and the person who answers the mailbox. A bank sees the name you put on a transfer. If the law requires us to show a record, we will. We do not pass details to marketing firms, training schemes or “partners”. Private-bench groups are treated as one booking; we still need a name and e-mail for the person who pays.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete an enquiry that has not become a booking. Write to [email protected] from the address we have on file, or visit with a way to show you are the same person. We will answer within 30 days.
You may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission in Singapore if you think we have handled your details badly. We would rather you write to us first so we can put it right in the room.
Changes
